Our Youth Exhibitors Shine at the AZ Sun Circuit AQHA Show!

Team Light Rein youth exhibitors Kaitlyn Fisher and Hannah Mousseau did a great job at the Arizona Sun Circuit AQHA show!  13-year-old Hannah delivered a Top 10 performance in her youth Western Pleasure classes aboard Glenda's horse, First Time Everytime, aka "Maddy", and 6-year-old Katie, also aboard "Maddy", stole the show with her beautiful horsemanship in her leadline class, with her daddy, Fred, leading the way!  See more photos of our winning girls by clicking the Winner's Circle tab.

Oh Boy! We've Made the News AGAIN!

The Equine Chronicle requested to publish our "Cowmanship" story on their website and in their online facebook blog, and of course, we gave them an emphatic "YES"!  The same article also appeared in a PleasureHorse.com facebook post, and an AzQHA facebook post!  Above is a photo that appeared next to the article.  Molly is the third from the right in this photo.  Here's what they wrote about Glenda:

"It’s not truly a horse show without a little excitement. On Saturday, that came in the form of an unexpected visitor to the Novice Amateur Showmanship class. A steer escaped the Equidome cattle classes and ran into The Equine Chronicle Arena. Glenda Roberts was setting up and quartering her horse, First Time Everytime, when the steer ran past. The pair must have trained well and have a remarkable amount of trust in one another, because neither the steer, nor the cowboys who rode in after it, flustered them. Now that’s showmanship! They didn’t win a ribbon for their efforts, but they certainly won the hearts of the audience. They will never forget that day."

Below is another photo of Molly's Novice Amateur Western Pleasure class, just published on facebook by PleasureHorse.com. Molly is 4th from the right in this photo (not including the rider directly behind the lineup).

We're certainly enjoying a little more time in the limelight!

COWMANSHIP!!!

A brand new horse show event, created today by our very own Glenda Roberts at Arizona Sun Country Circuit! The name of the event has been dubbed "Cowmanship" by our 6-year-old daughter.
This event started as a regular Novice Amateur Showmanship class, and was elevated to a whole new level when an escapee steer from the Equidome found his way into The Equine Chronicle arena right in the middle of Glenda's set-up and quartering for the judges!! Thankfully, Glenda's horse, Maddy, aka First Time Everytime, never moved a muscle, and stayed perfectly set up the entire time the steer ran right past her and the judges, and while two cowboys rode into the arena and herded the steer out! Although Glenda didn't win the class, the entire audience applauded her performance as she exited the arena!! We thought Glenda should have won the first ever "Cowmanship" class! We're SO proud of you, Glenda!!! Thank you Lisa Schlein Clawson for sharing these photos of the steer in the arena and the cowboys herding him out in Glenda's "Cowmanship" class!!
