Congratulations, Glenda!
Team Light Rein member, Glenda Roberts, was the winner of multiple year-end Champion and Reserve Champion awards at the Arizona Quarter Horse Association (AzQHA) banquet, held January 11, 2014 at the Pinnacle Peak Patio Steak House in Scottsdale. Glenda received two Champion buckles and two Reserve Champion buckles for her wins at Halter with her horses, First Time Everytime and Bodiva. Congratulations, Glenda!
Arizona National Horse Show Awards
Team Light Rein enjoyed great success at the 50th Annual Arizona National Quarter Horse Show in January, our first AQHA show of the year. Awards were earned by Fred and Glenda in Halter events with Glenda's horses, First Time Everytime and Bodiva. Glenda also earned awards in Novice Amateur Showmanship with First Time Everytime. Molly earned awards in Novice Amateur Showmanship and Western Pleasure, as well as in Amateur Showmanship and Western Pleasure with Kevin's horse, Hes Always Zipped. Congratulations, Team!
Arizona National Horse Show
Team Light Rein is gearing up for the 50th Annual Arizona National Horse Show, taking place January 8-12! This show has several breed shows all in one show, including AQHA, Saddlebred and Appaloosa. There are also Cutting, Reining, Working Cow Horse, Barrel Racing and Roping events, in addition to the regular show events we are used to, ie., Halter, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Trail, Western Riding, HUS and Equitation. There is also a 4-H/FFA Show. We are excited for the first show of 2014! Come out to Westworld in north Scottsdale and join us for this great event!
New Class added at the Blue Ribbon Horse Show
Great news! The Blue Ribbon Horse show has added a new class to the Open Western Division, now making that division complete, and year-end awards will be given! See their post below for more info and for links to the show premium and entry blank. The Blue Ribbon Show is our favorite open horse show. It's a great place to start your show career or hone your skills in preparation for breed shows. Come join us!
