Meet Fred Fisher
A past president of the Arizona Quarter Horse Association and honored as the 2020 AzQHA Most Valuable Professional Horseman, Fred Fisher has earned a reputation as one of Arizona’s premier AQHA horse trainers. As a respected Phoenix horse trainer with decades of experience, Fred has built an outstanding reputation for developing confident horses, successful riders, and lasting partnerships based on trust, patience, and clear communication.
In addition to being an accomplished trainer, Fred is a skilled farrier and an active leader within the Arizona Quarter Horse Association, serving on both the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. His expertise, integrity, and dedication to the horse industry have earned him the respect of clients and fellow horsemen alike.
A Lifetime Passion for Horses
Fred's journey into the horse world began in Chandler, Arizona, when he was just 13 years old. His first horseback experience wasn't exactly ideal—he climbed aboard a neighbor's unbroke horse, was promptly bucked off, and broke his arm in three places.
For many people, that would have been the end of the story.
For Fred, it was only the beginning.
As soon as his cast came off six weeks later, he took his first riding lesson. The following weekend, he entered his first horse show—and from that moment on, he was hooked. That grit, dedication, and passion for horsemanship continue to define Fred’s approach—creating better horses, better riders, and stronger partnerships built on trust and respect.
